It has new brakes, rotors, I do know it needs new tie rods but other than that the truck is in great shape just bad gas mileage. I drive 1.2 miles to work each day but I do drive about 60 miles once every other week and once in a while a road trip. But the gas just sucks. The plenum gasket is ok I believe I looked down the TB and did not see any oil.

looks can be decieving i thougt my plenum was good because i always looked through the TB and never saw pooling. when i took the TB off, thats when i foundthe il. So try taking the TB off all together, and you will get a uch better view.

im currently getting 13-14 city, and around 17 highway... that is no joke. i also have take very well care of my truck, and im basically replacing everything with new parts. 65% of the parts on the truck have been replaced in the last 30K. i also ont hammer on it that much, and i hardly do any 4 wheeling.

and i have 4.10's and tach about 1900 at 70 mph

Takes time, effort, lots of new parts, and lots of money to get them going good, but its worth it.
sorry, but i will have to disagree with that... there is no way that is possible.

265/75 16 tire / .69 final gear / 4.10 drive gear this is what you have, correct?

1900 RPMs would barely be 63 mph

3.92 at 1900 RPMS with the same tires... 66 mph

3.55 at 1900 RPMs with the same tires... 73 mph

gears do make a difference.
ok this is only true if he is running the stock tires...if he has larger tires (I believe larger tires are even stock on the offroad package) it changes the rpm's back to stock at stock speeds...(this is why its possible to get higher mileage if you have bigger tires and drive like old man).

btw I have 4.56 gears and 35" tires and I'm at about 2100 rpm's at 70 mph (stock should be here too btw) If I had stock gears it would be at like 1700 and the engine would be ******* and struggling to stay in OD.

Cause that kinda affects you're odometer.
(I see you got skyjackers so I assume you don't have stock tires)
and tachometer reading at all speeds
this is why if you get the correct gears to match the tire size the speedometer will read correctly again without reprogramming anything.

what do you mean tach. at all speeds?

the tach reads the rpms of the engine, and has nothing to do with tire size/gear ratio.

I have 245/16 stock and I tach 2000 rpms at about 62 mph, so it makes me wonder what gears I have? 318 a/t.

4x4 not a sport. Gets around 17 mpg driving 50 miles round trip, mostly highway, to work and back.
