I don't think you would have to weld anything. It might be best of you didn't so you can get the non-fouler out should you ever need to.

thats true. well i went to AZ to buy one and they had about 5 different sizes so i had them get me an O2 sensor for my truck so i would know which one would fit and non of them worked. the tip of the O2 sensor was too long and it bottomed out on every one of the non-foulers.

you could buy 2 and drill out the bottom of one of them and screw it into the unaltered one.

thats true. im also just thinkin of getting 2 nuts that the O2 will screw into and weld them together then weld the nuts onto my pipe that im goin to put in place of the cat. should do that same thing as a non-fouler right?

Essentially yes, but the heat could warp the threads and you'll need to screw them both onto a bolt or all-thread to be sure that the threads line up.

I think that most guys just cut off the bottom of the non fouler and the little bit of extra shielding of the o2 is what actually helps.

there really isnt alot of thread on the O2 sensor. i think that it would only screw into one of the nuts and just have the other nut to keep it out of the flow
