So I was moving wood around cleaning but for the next load to come in. I could hear the sound of my failing hubs as I was backing up. I had the tail gate down and was backing up toward the wood pile and there is a tree in my yard and the sound of the hubs well I forgot about the tree and smashed right into that sum bitch. ****ed it up good I sure did. A good day went to hell really fast. But oh well I found a gold gate on ebay thats in "good shape" for 135 with free shipping. I'm going to pick that one up and get a cheap paint job on it so it matches the truck. Heres the pics of the gate. I used the hat to try to give it some scale.

 

i thought slamming an open tailgate into something was a woman thing.

just pull a laramie and run with no tailgate.

I would rather lose that hat than buy a new gate. Now I have to clean out the bed.

 

Luckily the bed didn't get damaged at all. That would have been bad.

 

Craigslist can be your friend. $80 gets you a color matched tailgate just have to do a good amount of driving for it (est. 4hrs). Find a friend with a lil car or have your dad pick it up like he did for the tires.

and you can do a paint job yourself. i went to the dealer got color matched paint, and i repainted my whole divers side door, and clear coated it cuz i fixed the rusty dorr/rocker panals. and it came out quite good. so that may be the cheapestway. or like statd above check out craigslist and get a color matched

 

Hell get the hammer out and fix it
