Quote: Got my dust light installed today. Just in the nick of time too, going out to PRIMM this weekend for some fun!
Horribly crappy picture, but you can kinda see what I'm talking about.

Gonna be so nice having that thing on there. Can't tell you how many times I've come up on, or almost been hit by someone in the dark that didn't have a dust light.

Thank's mate. It's been a fun project. Turns heads everywhere and at least one or two people say something every time I go to the gas station!

It's pretty dim actually. Exactly how I want it. Bright light + dust = fail

I'm pretty sure its a fog light actually. When aimed at a wall or something its a really flat thin beam. I picked it up at ORW and nobody around here uses lights like that for fog. Just Dusts.

Does the job well tho. I'll take some pictures of how its mounted tomorrow.

Quote: Sorry for the double post, I'm doing it to bump. The tiregate is DONE. I finally got around to plating in the center and all I have left to do is make a housing for and dust light. Probably right in the center I think.

Here it is after a nice little home depot run yesterday:

It was a fun project. I learned that my Mill is in fact a far better tool for 180 notching than my JD2 is. Seems to eat fewer holesaws!

Tire gate turned out bitchin' man, great job!

Not sure if you already stated this or now, but can you turn the gate around so the tire hangs inside the bed?

To the OP,
Great job on the tiregate. So good in fact that you inspired me to make my own! I just finished it up. All together I have about $125 into mine and roughly 8 hrs building it. I did learn though that i desperately need a tubing notcher. Notching tubes with a cut off wheel, while effective takes a long time to get everything to fit up good. sorry for the small pics, they are from a cell phone.
