I did do a search already just not the same and cleaned the TPS already... no luck. However, I do not know the voltage to test for.So I ordered a repair manual (not Haynes). There was a leak at the Xmission cooler, which I tightened. I was going to change the fluid and filter to inspect for the obvious. Just thinking I can get a rebuilt 46e for $750 and do not want to pour money into it if its broke.

Almost everybody who did the TPS ""fix" had to replace that sensor about 2-3 months down the road. Just a heads up.

the plopping into gear without a noticeable shift sounds like a busted accumulator spring. tactransman on DT would know for sure.

I would not say its "plopping into gear" at all. It just downshifts when in third for a couple seconds when cruising and it only happens when it first goes into third too.
It sounds totally normal when it does it, just should not go into second because of lack of power or anything. Is there any bullitans for a firmware update on the computer consering these x-missions. Something computer related would be a easy fix.
In my past experiences keeping things updated with the newest firmware always will fix anything electronic.

Default 1996 ram shakes at 1, 200 RPMs

Hi everyone.. Been a while.. I have a 1996 Ram ext cab. lately when I hit 1, 200 RPMS the truck shakes until it hits 2,000 PRMs, or
I hit Overdrive, then it stops. Any ideas where to start to get this resolved?

Thanks

Shaking at certain RPM's could be busted belt in tires or drive train Ujoints, 2 most likely.
Probably best to start your own thread and detail the issue.
