Default Oil pressure too low, but oil level fine

I filled up my oil today after installing the hughes FI airgap. I had an issue with the temp going up way to high then the battery wouldnt charge(my fault) and now the oil seems to not stay at a constant pressure.

I was driving and oil pressure dropped down and check gauges light came on so i pulled right over and put some in(carried it just in case i had a problem after the install)

I turned the truck back on and the oil went to a happy medium and i took off again, but about two blocks away the light came back on, but this time i look at oil on the dipstick and its right on the safe area but no pressure.

Im thinking its the oil pump but ive never had this issue arise so anyone no anything different.

Its dark and late now so im going to look more into it in the morning when i can see, but so far there has been no leaks at all so i dont think im losing oil anywhere

If you just switched out intakes, my guess is that you bumped or knocked the oil pressure sensor. Test or replace that and let us know what happened.

If you oil pressure was "0" it would have been knocking very very loud, and after a minute or so the engine would have locked up.

Could be a bad pressure sender, faulty ground, etc. Mine does it from time to time. Someday, I'll probably fix it.
