I'd love to find them cheap. I'm always hesitant about getting important parts like this from a junk yard. I figure since it's for my safety I might as well spring for it.

well seat belts rarely wear out ....there is something wrong with yours but chances of having one from a junkyard fail are just about the same as one of those marked up $300 belts....If you want to spend the extra money go for it...I just think most people would look at it a bit more realistically and buy a whole assy from the salvage yard....after all the truck wasnt scrapped because of a bad seatbelt....and its the same age as the rest of your truck? its not like we are talking about the airbag or something here...(even though my airbag and whole colunm came from the same doner truck as my front clip and doors.)

Hmm looks like I'll be visiting the junk yard in a few days.

I can tell you where I work if there is a seatbelt problem and your a good cust we replace seat belts because there a safety item. If you have never been to our dealeship sometimes yes sometimes no. depends on how the mananger feels of. so if your dealer says no then call chrysler cust service . but we never go inside the retractor to repair it and we wont install a used one. If we repaired it or installed a used one and it dident work when you need it then our *** is on the line

I'm sure your current replacement will pass DOT scrutiny.

LOL, hey it's all I can find. Funny thing is a cop watched me put it on one day and didn't nothing. I was pulled over for speeding and the trooper didn't seem to care. I'm just not wanting to tempt crash fate especially with winter rolling in.

check the belt for signs of burn if you get it from a junl yard. If the belt has been used in a crash the force of impact will leave slight burn marks in the belt...
