you could say that about any of the years really as most of the only threads on forums are about problems....you dont see many were someone would say "wow I just wanted to say I'm really pleased with my head gaskets holding up and just wanted to share"...

The price is $2500. As far as the body and interior they are both in very good to excellent shape. Thanks for all the input. I'll keep you informed.

I'm just saying that the '01 ram seems to have more issues then any other year and that I've read about a lot of head gasket problems that go along with that year. Obviously no one's gonna write and say how they love there head gaskets, there gonna write and say that it blew because that's what the DF is mainly for. Solving problems with your ram. I've been on here since feb, and of the many threads that I've read, the 01's seem to have the most problems. Thats all I'm saying.

As said above, it could be a great deal or horrible deal depending how it was treated. Maintenance is prob. the biggest factor in how long it's going to last, followed by how/what it was used for.

I know how it is, just fairly recently bought my truck. It's got just shy of 150k on it, but I'm very happy with mine. I feel that I got a good deal and I think she'll run for a lot more miles before I gotta get another one.
