Default New Muffler Issues

Hey guys, last month I put a cherry bomb turbo muffler into my truck just to get that nice v8 sound from my truck. I welded it in and I didn't get much of a sound difference so I figured that was as good as it was going to get since it was only a $45 muffler. Well after 3 weeks or so something happened, I have no clue what but all of the sudden started sounding awesome like I was hoping for and all was good. But just last week it went back to being quite like it was when I first put it in. I first thought mabey it's a baffle issue but I really have no clue and have never had this kinda thing happen to me before. Any help would be great. Thanks guys!

i think the cat make a difference in the sound. i cut the exhaust of my friends parts jeep and put it on my truck and my truck started to sound similar to my friend jeep.

Yes that could be your problem. A plenum leak could lead to clogging in the cat and maybe the muffler.
