Intermittent headlight failure

Yup! Sure enough. Bought a new switch, put it in, and bingo......Lights!

Just wished I could have figured out how to test it first. Parts places don't like taking electrical parts back.

I had the same problem on my 96 ram 1500. I accessed the headlight switch and located the wire that feeds the headlights. I noticed the wire at the terminal connector was burnt. I cut the burnt terminal connector off the wire and replaced it. I plugged it back into the switch and haven't had any problems since.
