Default New guy from Sacramento

I've got a 2000 Dodge Ram 1500, Great truck but I have some questions and I think I've came to the right place, Me I'm used to the older mopars all from the early 50's, I looked but couldn't find an answer about what type of anti-freeze to use in my truck can somebody tell me?

Green. Don't mess with orange. Anywhere from a 50/50 mix to 70/30. Mix it only with purified water NOT TAP. Welcome to the DF!!!

True, but the pre mixed is about $7 a gallon and the straight coolant (not pre mixed) cost $9. So since our trucks take about 2 gallons of coolant and 2 of distilled water, that would only cost about $21 versus 4 gallons of pre mix which will cost $28. This is assuming he's doing a flush and fill. If not, then I agree with you about the pre mix.
