Talking new to me 2001 1500

Hello all.

New owning a dodge. Really like the truck. Just have a few questions.

This is what I have found out so far.
1. I need to look at the plenum gasket, either with the FSB or with a mirror through the intake.
2. the front O2 sensor will probably need to be replaced.

I have replaced the heater core and the passenger side ball joints and both front axle u-joints.

Is there anything else that I should look at?

Thanks for you help in adavance.

check the tranny fluid. (when running in neutral. a reading from park WILL NOT be accurate) see if it has a burnt smell, or if its low.

let's see, all you're likely to need is -
timing chain
water pump
front crank seal
rear main seal
IAC
TPS
check valves
serpentine belt
front wheel bearings.
front axle seals
track bar
ball joints
speed sensor
brakes
rear drive shaft u-joints
shocks
transmission.
steering shaft
steering box
clean or replace headlights.
replace CAD with Posilok
head, amp, speakers
replace cat
tune up, wires, plugs, rotor, cap
any more leaks - oil pan, valve covers.
t-stat.
transmission cooler
dash

that ought to do it.

Not to worried at all. Have rebuilt entire trucks before. Just wanted to have some opinions on what is needed.

I did read a thread about how to check your CAT, but now I can't seem to find it. I thad some temps for inlet and outlet in it.

Full tune up is in the works. Already had the tranny looked at and flushed.

and the dash is in great shape. not cracks.
