ok so for the past two days my truck has been acting weird it will not settle into overdrive for more than a second and when driving about 30 it will jump around in the lower gears and when i coast it will down shift. any ideas??

 

My 46RE did similiar stuff when the overunning clutch bearing assembly blew in the OD unit @ 154k miles.

The tranny would maybe/maybe not shift into OD. Then it would maybe/maybe not stay in OD. It finally died and when I rebuilt it, the overrunning clutch bearing assembly in the OD unit was the only fault found.

 

Where is this clutch assembly located at in the tranny?
