Default steering box

alrighty then. i did a search... read a bunch of stuff and i cant figure out what two bolts to adjust on my steering box to attempt to remove play in the steering. does any one have pictures that they could point it out on? or a detailed way to pinpoint them. i have a 2000 dodge ram 1500 sport. thanks. gotta go

did you check the joint in the middle of the steering shaftunder the rubber boot?....thats a good source of play as well....
The box just has one allen bolt with a 5/8 nut around in....loosen nut and then turn the allen nut about 1/4 turn increments in until slop is gone.(then tighten retainer nut)..if it gets hard to steer or your wheels dont return to straight on their own you went too far and that will wear the box out fast...

augie thanks again man. and yes i did check that, no play. im the same guy from b4... we went through a long thread of this last week. i just couldnt figure it out. ill go look at the steering box again tomorow.
