Ok, i think i have a system down that i am thinking of purchasing and installing. I would love your feedback and what i have chosen. I just want to make sure im going to have good sound when installed.

So my h/u is a Alpine cda-105(already purchased)
What im about to purchase is this.
1. Front doors-polk audio db5251 5.25 component http://www.crutchfield.com/p_107DB52...51.html?tp=106
2. Back Doors- polk audio db651 6.5 2 way http://www.crutchfield.com/p_107DB65...651.html?tp=95
3. Alpine MRP-F300 4 channel amp to power door speakers http://www.crutchfield.com/p_500MRPF...00.html?tp=115
4. 2 10" Thunder4500 subs enclosed in a MTX Amplified Thunderform enclosure. http://www.crutchfield.com/p_236DRX2...al.html?tp=113

What are your thoughts on this system for a 1998 Dodge Ram quad cab?

Thanks,
~Moon

Why 5.25 in the front and 6.5 in the back? I think you have it backwards. Why not components for the 6.5s and 2-way for the 5.25? Hell you're buying a 4 channel amp for 2 component speakers, so why not just get both 6.5 and 5.25 in component?

lol 1+ Trey.

I wouldn't really reccommend anyone that hasn't had past expierence with installs to attempt a 5 1/2" to 6 1/2" conversion. It's not easy nor is it for the faint of heart. Consider that you are going to be grinding and drilling into the body of your truck to do it right.

Why the woofer choice? You had it all going good until I saw that crap. Your money I guess, but I wouldn't be wasting it like that.

I would spend the extra dough and go with one of these:

1. Eclipse
2. Infinity
3. Kicker
4. Alpine
5. JBL
6. JL

All are good brands.

You could almost say the same thing about putting in components as there will be cutting of panels and fabbing a mount... however it's all pretty easy if you just plan what you are going to do and don't rush yourself.

+1 on that

haha that list is in order of my prefrence. There is a reason why it is last on the list. Works best for stock decks with a lin converter. IMO
