Update..... Still have the problem, im still trying to figure out how to check the master cylinder, or even where it is, the clutch fluid seems to be all the way full, is it possible the lines could be clogged or something?
Nothing seems to be leaking either.

i've got the nv3500 5pd to and i notice every once in a while it doesnt like to go into first. what i do is just put her in N and let off the clutch. pump it a few times and it'll go in after that. 2nd has done it once or twice. no grinding. so idk. maybe it just wasn't taken care of? how many miles? was it used for trailers alot?

UPDATE!! Ok i feel pretty dumb now, i have been looking at the brake parts under the hood instead of the clutch, i just figured out where the clutch parts are... On the inside of the truck, Im guessing the master cylinder.. Appears that at one time this was leaking... but the reservoir is full, so would it be right to say its the cylinder thats bad? anyone know how much these can run?

I dont imagine it being to much but look at it this way, if that is the only problem then youhave to get it fixed to drive the truck without being scared to go below 3rd gear. lol. just take her to the shop.
