Default stock radio amplifier

Does anyone know if the stock radio/cassette on a 2001 ram has an integral amplifier and how do you access it if it does have one

Yea, they do have one internally, and to access it, you'll have to take the whole deck apart.

Not real sure why you want to get in there considering the fact that once you factor in the time, cost and the likely hood that you are having a board issue not an amp issue, you could buy a smokin upgrade.

i thought the non-infinity did not have an amplifier.
And the stock Infinity System had amps attached to the front door speakers.

either way, the best way to good sound is to replace everything - head, speakers, and amp,
