I replaced plugs, cap and rotor on my 2001 5.9. Do I need to set the timing or will the computer 'do-it' ???

you cannot set the timing. do not attempt to adjust the distributor, it doesnt work the same way. any movement on the distriubtor may affect your injector sync timing.
