Searched but didnt see anything.It would be nice to kick CAD and unit bearings to the curb,plus be able to use low range in 2wd .The kit is on sale this week....

its a real expensive kit.
as an alternative, you can replace CAD with Posilok and get 2 wheel low.
but your still stuck with the expensive bearings.

There's been some 3/4 ton guys on another forum that have installed the kit, but I can't recall seeing the 1500 done yet.

I think nhbill (a sweet truck... i miss it), did the ems conversion on some dana 60's he swaped under his 1500. I know there is a guy up here at school that did the conversion on his truck (i see it in the parking lot), but as to who he is, I haven't a clue. I'd do a search because I know this has been brought up quite a few times. In fact I think I recal a guy doing his own style swap and used ford rotors?
