Default 96 ram cam swap

i have a 96 ram 1500 short bed std cab 4x4 318 cid .
i have just started to use it to tow my car to the drag strip.
car and trailer weigh about 5000lbs.
i get 15-17 mpg with the truck, and about 10 mpg towing the car .
years ago i got a cam for a chevy truck that gave me better mpg and more bottom end tq .

motor has about 210000 miles on it ,runs good .
i see there is an rv cam for this motor , would that do it .
or can someone lead me to a better choice .

krc rv cam is good i have read alot of good about it

and can also good with a set and 1.7 roller rockers http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CSP-S70037/

you get the added lift just like a cam without the work but this will not change you duration just lift

with that kind of miles on the motor i would check it out very well,,, or buy diff motor and rebuild it
