Default No a/c pulley

My a/c clutch went a couple of years ago and I bypassed the compressor with a smaller belt. Do I have to do anything to the a/c system (unplug anything???) or will it be fine as is. Does this have anything to do with my previos thread for the gurgling sound in the core?

+1 on dakota^
by not running it some, the seals and orings and such might dry out.
but - if you're not using it, or its broken, then it doesn't matter.

unrelated to air in heater core.
