Exclamation noisy rear end/speedometer not working

OMG! I have a 2000 dodge ram 1500 4x4 1/2 ton. I have reaplced the rear differential everything but the pinon, (the diff case, clutch, bearings).

While taking off the brake drums, I cracked them . Replaced those and the spedometer wasn't working. Replaced Speed Sensor.

Noise still there and spedometer still not working.

What's Nex????????

So the speedo stoped working after the brake problem? If its always been bad check the speedo gear.

It is a whining/vibration sound. It get worse the faster you go.

did the noise start all at once and after you did the work?....normally whining noise could be a bad bearing or incorrectly seated or damaged gears...

you should have speedo sensors, one in the tranny and one in the rear diff, check both of those

My husband said he replaced the one on the tranny, I'll let him know that there is one on the rear diff too. Thanks so much.
