Default Tires...Cooper ATR??

I'm hoping to get some reviews or opinions for a new tire. I have a 1999 Ram short bed 4x4. Currently it has Maxxis Bravo A/t 751's on it in size 285/75/16. The tires were new when i got the truck, approximately 5k miles ago.

They suck big time in the snow. I can go nowhere without spinning or using 4x4 no matter how much i baby the gas. I would like to stick with the same size.

The current tires seem to just float or ride on top of the snow (and mud). I dont want to go to a mud tire and price is something i have to consider.

I would like opinions on the Cooper ATR. I can get a set for under $600 from treadepot.com Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the help

Also, I mainly drive in town, but also fish, hunt, boat, etc which does cause for sand, mud, snow, etc

ATRs are good tires in the snow, but i'd look into a set of STs, my dad has them and they are awesome in everything, but just a little noisy on the pavement

im getting a set before i go back to school

I had STT's on my Wrangler. They had roughly 7-10k miles on them and they still had the nubbies. I used them offroad in mud/snow/sand and they worked great! Never had a flat either, and my Jeep was mostly offroad. I live in AK where we have 8 mo winters, and they held up great and cut through the snow good with good grip. I dont believe they are a expensive tire either, as compared to a BFG AT KO or something...

I currently have the Cooper ATRs on my ram in that size. I love them. They seem to do really well in just about anything I put them in. Had Kumhos before and didn't really like them.
