superchip
hey i recently got the superchip and its awesome, my speedometer if finally right and all the HP is great, i havent been on for a while because for some reason i typed in the right password and it wouldnt log me on, but anyway, my question is, i updated it and i can now advance my spark, and idle speed, what would be the advantage of those, more specifically the spark, and what would be the best setting for it, i have the E3 plugs, 8mm MSD wires, and mopar performance cap and rotor, with a stock coil. and can anyone reccomend a good aftermarket coil? thanks
i know the dealers will advance your timing/spark to compensate for pinging and ticking issues caused by a blown plenum....i'm sure theres some benefit to it, but i don't know anything past that.
The only reason I would move them up is if you are going to cam it. Other than that I don't see any point in it. If you do move the timing ( Which I don't see why you need to) do it one at a time. Don't move it up 3-5 ahead or retatred. You are playing with you motor if you get it out of wack.
