I have a 98 ram 1500 4x4 the dash is all cracked and busted up. Ilive in Florida and this is a problem here from the sun. I wanted to know if any one new the cheapest place to get a replacment dash. i have seen the plastick covers in catalogs. are they worth it or should i get the whole thing. right now it has a carpit cover so i dont see the holes but im tired of the squiking when i go over bumps.

 

Dont get a stupid cover, fix it right with a new replacement dash. Usually new Mopar replacement dashes come up on eBay for around $300.

 

try maybe your local junkyards...... new ones are very pricey.....mine is a 99 sport and all busted up too

 

My dad has a shop discount so I got mine for like $240 from the dealer. No since in paying what would be 30% of the purchase price to fix it right in order to cover up the problem.

 

went the dash mat (carpet) route also, the duct tape was blinding me in the glare of the sun, lol

 

That's so redneck it hurts...good job!

 

Try Craigklist, I got mine for $40 from someone parting out same year truck and he pulled it for me.
