Default '00 vs '97 Brakes

The brakes in my '97 2500 Cummins don't seem as responsive and don't seem to stop as fast as in my old '00 2500 Gas truck. Was anything changed between these models/years or is there an issue with my brakes?

Yes, a lot changed.

But first, a Cummins weighs much more than a 360 gas engine. It takes more to stop it.

Here is what changed in 2000:

Thanks, I am going to assume the brake pedal is "normal" then.
