what about the valve cover gasket? i found i was leaking oil on the drivers side of mine when i first bougt it. figured the valve cover gasket was bad...but when i took it off, i could take out the bolts by hand they were not tight...replaced gaskets anyways and torqued down, no more leaks.

then i found that with these trucks its best to re-torque the valve covers every oil change for the bolts work themselves to be loose again.

or you could have a really bad plenum gasket and bad intake gaskets causing oil to sprew out...but i doubt this

without loctite on the valve cover bolts, they will get loose in a short period of time. on mine, my dads and my sisters trucks there were 5 bolts on each cover that were loose.

i'd clean or replace PCV. its supposed to allow any pressure to escape and pipe it through the intake and burn it.

some year's PCV is on drivers side and some is on passenger side

Might want to do a compression test. One or more cylinders with worn rings will allow combustion blow-by to over pressurize the crankcase causing oil to blow out of weak seals or the PCV valve.
