Call Flowmaster directly and tell tech support what you what. They will give you a part number which you can then call summit and order it at a discount.

Because they don't make one. Good enough reason? [8D]

Just get a 43040 (center in/out) or 43041 (offset in/center out) or 43042 (center in/offset out) or 43043 (offset in/opposite side offset out) or 43044 (same side offset in/out)

and an R3025 8" length 3" into 2.5" reducer, flip it around and run your 2.5 up into 3". Sold in pairs though, maybe find somebody to split it.

Note: I used a 2.5 into 3" Y pipe into my 3" 30 series coming back from my headers. You could also do that if you're going to get rid of the stock (restrictive) Y pipe.

Damn good reason.

Think with that many dodges running around they could press out a few of them..

Thanks for the info.

All you need to do is take it to an authourized flowmaster dealer like Midas or any other muffler shop that has a Flowmaster banner hanging in the window. And ask them to hook you up with a 40 series. it'll probably be a 3" inlet and outlet and they'll weld in a reducer on the inlet side. dont worry it wont affect the flow since the pipe is getting larger in diamiter through the downstream.

yup, like moparmark said, take it to a shop and let them install the 3" in/out muffler with the inlet reduced.

Or I could do this. Anybody see any HP loss here. I would be ditching the 2.5 pipe from the cat and be adding 3 inch from the cat back....

I think this would be better than a reducer. Not that a reducer is that bad. Anyone have any idea how this system sounds. I wonder if its like a Flowmaster 40 or a 50.

thx

Ordered a flowmaster 40 with 2.5 in and 2.5 out. It looks like my truck has a 2.5 out .... then the pipe gets bigger right away and goes to 3 inch. Its funny. I thought it was 3 from the back of the muffler. oh well.

if you go to jegs they have kits now for 2nd gen. rams. not flowmaster though. i run 3 inch glass packs and theyre a hell of a lot louder than flowmasters will ever be. but i got the **** to do my own exhaust. if you know someone with a welder and sazall or have em to use youre golden. check out this site though.
