Lets see your bedliner
I have a drop-in bedliner too, and it has worked great. One nice thing about it is that I mounted my hi-lift jack, an ax, and a shovel to the bedliner itself. Didn't need to put anyholes in the bed to mount my tools. I'd like to get Line-X someday, but for what it costs, I really can't justify it at this time.
Here you go. I found those brackets that are holding the jack at the hardware store. I think they are for a chain link fence. It works great to hold a jack though. They are then bolted directly to the bed liner. The ax over on the other side of the bed is held in place by this universal mounting kit I got on e-bay. Nice thing about that kit is it can be locked. I usually have a shovel in it in the slot below the ax, it is just not in this picture.

I have had both drop in liner and spray on, and I think drop in liners are much better. My truck is a work truck and the bed gets a lot of tough use and the drop ins seem much more durable, not to mention a lot cheaper.
My truck came with the bed Line-Xed.
I would nab some pictures, but the truck is at the body shop for the next week and a half. If I remember, will post pics after it gets back.
No offense, but if you think drop-ins are more durable and work better, you must have had a cheap spray-on.

I had one of those plastic drop in liners in my last truck and I hated it. There was always crap getting stuck underneath it. I had 30 gallons of unpasturized milk that spilled over and leaked under the liner. It smelled really raunchy for the next month even after taking it out and washing it twice. Plus I think it looked kinda cheap, but that's just me.
Well It's holding up pretty good. I have my own lawn business so I am always throwing shovels and yard brush back there, held up pretty good, I recently just put a coat of black industrial enamel on the bed floor itself because it was faded and was starting to wear with all the pressure washing I was doing back there (Can't have a dirty pickup). With all said, I have about $100 into it. The walls and tailgate hold up fine as that doesn't see near as much abuse. If you do decide to do it, either go 2 coats with a UV coat, 3 coats on the bed floor, or just do 2 coats everywhere, and then do the bed itself with black industrial enamel after the herculiner. Sherwin Williams black industrial enamel is super strong, I have my trailer done in it and it has a nice gloss.
I don't believe so. They tend to be very textured and not really vibrant/glossy.
If you go into some part stores (Napa, carquest, etc.), sometimes they have herculiner or whatever for sale, and they usually have a tiny sample strip on the box to feel what its like.
