He has a 5" rough country with a 2" coil spacer up front. He added some 2" add-a-leafs in the rear to make it level. The 5" kit comes with 5" coils and 3" rear blocks.

So the front has 7" of total lift and the rear has 5" of total lift

I have a exta block and an add a leaf in the rear. My factory block was a 3in. The block that cam with my fab tech 5.5 was 3in as well so i welded them together. Not the best way to do it but it works and it looks and rides fine. Adjustable control arms are not to hard to make if you have the equipment. I am finishing up mine, it just takes time and money. Also if you would go with a manual hub conversion on your front axle, i dont see you having many probs with it off road. Mine held up intill i did 60's font and rear.

Here is mine I have a 5" skyjacker and 3" body with 37's. I would'nt go bigger than 37's on a 1500 unless you plan on upgrading your axles.

so when it comes down to it, a body lift is going to be the easier thing to do? im not really looking to swap mt axles yet so im not gonna be able to go past a 37'' tire anyways. im still interested in those custom control arm tho.
