Why not rebuild? May be a fair bit of labor/$$ but so would a new engine...not to mention the labor to drop a new one in..

Yeah, I would never drop in a junkyard motor if unless it has really low miles and I seen it run or I re-built it. Buying a junkyard motor is a gamble. Re-build it.

Yeah..I mean think about it.

You want to go into a junkyard, where vehicles have been sitting for years not moving an inch, nor run at all.

You want to go through all of the hassle of removing the engine (or paying someone to, depends on the type of junkyard), the large amounts of time to take your old one out, and put the new one in, or paying someone to. Then you need to put the new one in - either more time or money. After all that, if you did it right, you are still not likely to have a good running, long lasting motor.

OR, you could just have it rebuilt..Save yourself a lot of hassle (and even money), go to a reputable shop and try to get at least somewhat of a warranty (READ it).

Or that. But you don't/couldn't get a warranty on that route.

Yeah, but you wouldnt need a warranty, because you know how to work on your truck.
