Yeah that is probably it. Before I did the plenum, my PCV valve had an abnormally loud rattle, which usually means its stuck open, if it doesnt rattle usually mean it is stuck shut. Turns out the PCV valve that was in there was the stock one from 1996. They need to be replaced every 30k miles.

yea, i got the old one to rattle by tapping...er beating it against the pallet i was putting parts on during the plenum fix but it was soooo gummed up, so i replaced it, well see tomorrow i guess
