Default new motor

my 97 2500 start knocking on me today (at 21xxx miles). It has the 5.9 magnum. Im between a new vehicle (cummins) or the more economical option which is putting a new motor in it. If i were to put a new motor in it, id want to have a little fun with it. I was wondering what would be a good cam or possible heads cam combo to wake my truck up a little. Id still want it to be a daily driver. Id appreciate any input on this.
Thanks, Brian

check out the crane cams 206 or 210 cam, you can find them on the hughs or bionic dodge site 'bout $350..also check out Clearwater cylinder head they have ram 2.02 heads from $375 for the eq's or $475 for the monster rams. Pretty complete heads, new castings sold individually. no tuner needed but would benefit from it. kegger mod. fastman. harland sharps. and just punck your block .30 over. that would be sweet and inexpensive by comparison.
