The funny things you find looking for something else..
looks like it lifted the front tires too.
I know it's torque and HP. But the back end of a pickup don't weight chit. I wouldn't think that even smoking the tires would give it "that" much traction to flex the frame as much as he does.
That left front tire does look pretty close to leaving the ground.

in addition to massive torque and HP, he was prob using solid motor mounts which transfers all that torque straight to the frame rather that absorbing it when using a normal "bushing" (poly) motor mount.
first vid..scene it before and its still awesome in my opinoin to see a dodge fly like that down the track..even though i prolly would take either of..cause personally i like both the trucks in there own way

I was there with the girlfriend last year, great time and an awesome show.
that 2nd video reminds me of my dads 66 dodge monico. it use to look like a piece of $h!t but it had *****. it had a had a 440 out of an old cop interceptor with a 800 cfm carb and a high speed posi rear end. the thing would go at least 250-300km/h. not even the cops could catch it back in the 80's.
