Dodge T-Rex 6x6 rolls over Camera man
probably just the promise to not slide into the crevasse and squish him.
On the white tow rig we put a custom hood scoop with an oil cooler in it. We did so much Heavy, and I mean Heavy....27,000 total wieght, that I built an engine oil cooler on the hood. It worked great. Overall engine temp was way down. In the winter I had to block the scoop because it worked so well. That truck, which we called the Tow Rex was awesome. We put a quarter of a million miles on it, and it could tow like a dream. Awsome traction, control, and brakeing was never an issue.

Now as for MPG on the T-Rex...hee ..hee..
It gets around 6-8. I dont have alot of highway milage logged on it because the highway is hell on those tires. The tires are soft, unbalanced, and with lockers I get alot of tire scrub. So on the highway it is noisy and a bit of vibration. WHen I ran 38.5 inch tires, it was not bad on the highway, but now it is tollerable for short trips. Most of the milage has been off road, high rmp and very little movement, so gas milage sucks. THat is why we have a 63 gal tank. When you put 500 lbs of fuel in it you have some distance you can go. But today filling that up is $$$$$$!!!!!

Here is a link to a web page that shows my other trucks. I sold the White Tow Rex for a newer Dodge with a bit more power. THis Silver Dodge is the new tow rig. IT has a custom intake, Bully Dog CHip and outlook monitor, custom exhaust with exhaust brake, and Ranch Hand bumpers. It puts out 930 ft lbs of torque, but while towing I drop it down to 720.

i'm getting about 9 right now on my 318. i think we're both doing something wrong.
the milage isnt too bad considering the vehical, my v-10 got 9mpg's and didnt matter if i was empty or dragging 15,000 pounds behind it, city or hwy, so i swaped him out for the ctd and everything is better now
awsome rigs by the way!!!
awsome rigs by the way!!!
My Cummins gets 21 on the highway...sweeet!!! It got 12 pulling the T-Rex around, but my new GMC C5500 get 10 unloaded and 8 pulling the T-Rex around...
My 440 Ramcharger got 8-10, but it was a fun trip especially with the top off. That makes it worth the low mileage.
i was contimplaing a 440 in the ram, but decided the coversion to power gain isnt worth it.. small blocks can make the power i need... with my 10inch lift and 37s im getting 11-12, 14 highway, and that with the 318... i must have a great plenum.. lol,
