Default audio system question

ok, so i am getting taxes back... wanted to put a little bit more bump in the truck... now the problem i am having, i dont deal with audio, ussually, if it plays, im happy..

i looked around, i found one setup that had a single 12 hidden in the center seat, or a set of 2 10s under the rear seat... what one do you guys think will be better? i mean i think the single 12 will bump good enough... and not draw to much power.... what kind of speakers can i put in the door thats good, like i want clear sound when turned up... unlike now ( 20 bucks autozone speakers) i want to hear the sound.. just a little better then now, but not break the bank.. i may not even do the sub, and just do awesome speakers and keep my xplode head... i dont know yet like i said

for rock pop and country a small sealed box with a te or 12 will work fine...for rap and pop mainly a larger ported box is the norm....I just wedge a small sealed 10 box between the back seal and console in mine...plus its easy to most when I want to..

You can put just about any 5.25's in the door with a small amp and improve the sound. Make sure that you buy baffles to put behind the speakers, it will make a huge difference. You could put a Sony 10 in a box under the rear seat with an amp and still be around 250. Some suggestions below, this would be good if you're just looking for better sound and a little bass.

mines done "right" I installed many systems back in the day and the built in boxes have there place as well as ones that are easily removed to add space when needed.... to do permanent box under a seat you need to go with a sub like a solobaric kicker and use computer software to design the box for proper cubic feet and such...I did all that in my jeep and still ended up going to a more portable setup for versatility in the end...ones better for show and the other is more practical since a box that fits under our seats would not be very ideal for sound efficiency.

btw I have my amps permanently installed under the seat and console section best place I've found for them...

slap in a aftermarket stereo and a amp and sub and you will be fine.
