Default Question about susp. lift

Hi all, I know this kind of stuff comes up all the time, but using the search feature doesn't help at all so...

My truck is a '99 4x4 1500. I currently have 2.5" coil spacers in the front, and 1 AAL in the rear. I would like to get a couple more inches of height without going for a body lift.

I already have bigger blocks for the rear sitting around somewhere, and I could always add another leaf, so the rear won't be a problem.

I want to get a pair of used 3/4ton coil springs for the front, I will use them along with the spacers. I've heard this will give me another 2" of lift? Is that correct? So I will have a total of 4.5" of lift in the front. Is there anything that will need to be extended in the front such as brake lines? Can I use the stock track bar with a drop bracket? What about the pitman arm? Anything else I should look into? Thanks.

take a look at my truck, my lift consists of this.

front coils out of a 05 cummins 3500....gained a bit over 4 inches using them
rear i took out my 3inch block and replaced it iwith a 6 inch block.
35" tires whole lift was under 100$

i have stock everyhting else up front except for longer shocks.

you dont need longer brake lines or anything else....well i didnt anyways. i still could go another 3inches before i need lines, i have lots of play left

ya those springs will giv you about 2" . if you plan on going to 4.5" you will need longer control arms for the front for sure. You can use a drop bracket for the track bar but if your going to do serious offroadin i wouldnt suggest it becuase i snapped a bracket on the trail and ended buying a beefy longer track bar anyway. You will need a drop pitman arm. brakelines should be fine. i have diesel coils stacked with 3" spacers so ive gone through all this too. as far as the back goes i hope you dont mean stacking blocks becuase thats not a good idea

until you flex out the front end, and want to know why you break them.

Thanks for the replies. I'm not 100% sold on more lift, I'm just trying to figure out my options. I have 265 tires and stock rims at the moment, but before next winter I will be getting a set of 33s.

If I have to get longer control arms and a drop pitman arm I might just spring for a body lift instead. Then I might be able to install a grille guard and tow hooks, plus the dist. cap will be easier to get at.

Ironman888 no, I'm not gonna stack the blocks. I laugh at people who do that so I'm not gonna do it my self.
