my automatic transmission keeps sleeping its got tones of fluid and it just got replaced not long ago i heard from the other owner

An overfilled automatic will cook as fast as an underfilled one. Make sure you have the correct fluid level in it. It could be a lot of things. First that pops into my head is misadjusted bands. Could be a bad solenoid I suppose. If they replaced the trans but kept the original torque convertor, that could be hosed too. Those are common. When my trans **** out it was either the torque converter exploding and taking out the pump, or the pump exploding and taking out the torque convertor. Either way, something litterally exploded.

i had that problem n took it to a very reliable shop where i go to school. the solenoids were bad and some circuitry was shorting. they fixed the problem right instead of trying to sell me a new tranny.
