Default code and O/D turns off

i keep getting a code says TCC or O/D solonoid and i just started school 45mi away, after about 30mi my O/D will turn off (i know i shouldnt but i need to get to school so i shut the truck off for a few sec, turn it back on and O/D comes back on) then 10mi farther it will come off again and stay off. im guessing thats the O/D solonoid?? is my tranny getting too hot?? how hard is it to install a trans temp and cooler?

A cooler will not fix it. You can try replacing the 2 solenoids in the pan. TC lockup solenoid and governor pressure sensor and switch.

The Gov. pressure solenoid and sensor are separate from the TC lock up solenoid. In other words, there is another sensor.
