Default Taking off the dash

Has anyone taken the dash panel off before? I am trying to put a different stereo in it as well as clean the back of the plastic covering for my guages. It appears that the whole piece will have to come off to get to anything underneath. If anyone has any tips or suggestions that would be great. Thanks

yup I did this a few weeks ago to rewire the radio. I took off the lower kick panels ( not sure if I had too) but the dash face pops right with no screws on my 2000. I just gently pulled it straight back and it comes right off. I had to wiggle it around the stearing base but hey... i was too lazy to drop the steering wheel down.

That sounds way to easy for a dodge. Thanks, I will give it a try.

That sounds about right, take off th lower panels and then unscrew the black dash trim near the bottom on each side of the steering wheel. The rest pops out. I did this 3 or 4 times to install my GPS antenna wire and bracket.

In response to CopperDesigno. I finally got around to taking a quick look this weekend, and to get that black dash trim off do you just pop it off without taking out any screws. I couldn't find any screws attaching the dash trim, and was wondering if that is just on there by pressure brackets? Thanks again for your help.

In my '97 I have to remove the screws for my cupholder and my ashtray in order to get the main bezel off. You'll see them when you pull them out.

in my 94 you have to take the screws out for the cup holder and for the ashtray, than the outer bezel just pops off, its all on pressure brackets
