Just to make sure I understand.... are you saying the PCM might not re-issue the code until after months or hundreds of miles of NORMAL driving?

 

no, not months. more like 100 miles.

 

I have an equus 3160(185$ from amazon,300 from snapperon) that I like a lot.Very portable,reads abs(but not pre 99 dodge).A code reader will clear codes,but if they are still active they wont go away.If you just want to occasionally reset a light,I would stick with the battery trick.But if I needed to do some light diagnostic work,I would get a reader.

 

Can you verify that it truely reads the ABS codes on you're truck, cause if it does I would buy one of these.
the manual says the same as the actron it reads MOST..
