just bought a 1998 1500 with a 5.2 and on the inner fender on the driver side close to the fire wall is an electrical box( looks like a regulator ) and its unplugged( been that way for a while by the looks of it) but I'm wondering what its for
any help would be great

 

Where do you live?

It sounds like a silly question, but depending on the answer it could be a daytime driving light module.
When they burn up, the brights stay on but a simple fix is to disconnect the module.

 

maybe its an old relay or somethin, any idea if there were ever any type of extra lights on it?

 

I live in ontario canada.

ahh yes, I have no daylight lights that's probley it. Its a plain jane model so there isn't any fog lights or anything of that nature
