Default Superchips vs Hypertech vs Deathflash

K so my 99 has some basic upgrades like cai, tbs, highflow cat, 3' exhaust but always needs more power and it also has the "deathflash" So I need to get rid of that too! I tried the stage 2 jetchips and swear it lost power so I've narrowed it down to the superchips 3815 since I can find one for around $150 and a hypertech pwr programmer 3. My question is superchips claims a hp increase of 46 and hypertech claims only like 9 but I found a used hypertech for $50 so I need some feedback from you guys that are running these. And I'm on a budget so I'm tryin to keep it around $200 Thanks guys!!!!

From what I've read/heard, the superchips is much better. It will still learn and tune according to mods that you add on, but doesn't get overridden. If I remember correctly, the hypertech does not learn mods you add, and will be erased by the computer.

Correct me if I'm wrong guys.

i've run both hypertech and superchips. i've only run the 87 octane tune on both because i'm too cheap to waste money on gas. hp gain is NOT 46. i prefer the SC because it moved the TC and OD shift out to higher speeds. other than that i thought they were about equal. since the hypertech is year specific, it has less resale value while anybody from 98+ can use the SC.

I have both, and I honestly don't see a difference between the two. I have the Hypertech in now set on 93 octane. It is probably a little over 20hp gain. You will definetly feel it.
