Default free spin hubs.

does anyone know of a manual locking hub kit for our trucks besides the dynatrac kit. the kit is like 1500 bucks because it pretty much completely replaces both hubs and bearings. do they make one for our trucks thats just the hub lock, maybe somethin a little less expensive?

If you are into DIY you can do your own kit from Ford parts, just completed mine for around $500 thats with new Temkin bearings, races, seals, spindle bearing kit and new rotors. A few links I used.

I used the Dana 50 hubs and redrilled spindles Dana 60 stub axles and 78-79 ford rotors. Did not change the knuckle and keep the CAD system.

EMS seams to have a nice, reasonably priced kit but is there any company out there that utilizes just a manual locking hub without all the other ****?

Very interseting. Never heard of this successfully done on the 44, only the 60.
