Default Crank no start 01 1500

took my truck last night about 200 miles. start stop at gas stations and a few buddys houses. Ran like a dream, just recently did air filter, oil change, coolant and tranny flush, plugs wires and fuel pump. Go out this morning to start it up and no start. it cranked the first time and ran for what seemed to be a second and stalled out. tried again but pressing the pedal. little to no difference. when giving it gas it would jump rpms for a sec then die out, the whole time reading 50 lbs oil pressure. also ive been having a problem with no rear running lights but the brake lights and hazards are working fine. ConnectED???? any help plz

mythbusters did a episode about putting sugar in the gastank. sugar will not prevent four truck from running or starting.

i saw the sugar episode, but i think they did the test on a carb'ed vehicle. fuel injected might react different. i'd always heard the myth that it would lock up the engine. mythbusters proved that it didn't hurt it in the least. in the first post above it sounds like the engine is turning and not locked up. it also does sound like it might be a fuel problem.

are you sure about the sugar ?

as in all no starts - check fuel pressure at the rail for 49 psi and check for spark at the plugs.
