hey, what is the discard spec of front rotors on a 99 ram 1500 4X4 5.9L?

 

discard them if the front pad thickness is less than 5/16 of an inch

 

It's stamped on the back of the rotor. There is no set thickness, it varies by brand.

 

^ Haynes manual says no less than 5/16... just for the record... never knew it was stamped on the back though.

 

You do know we are talking rotors here right!

 

lol, talkin about the rotors guys, not the pads, and there is a discard spec as to rotors per vehicle are the same thickness, i found the answer, it's 32.27 mm...or maybe it was 32.47....either way it was between 32 and 33 mm, but thank you guys
