Default Check gauges light when stopped- Oil pressure drops to ZERO

After driving my truck for 20 minutes or so, when i come to a complete stop or decelarate, the check gauges light comes on and the oil pressure drops to zero. I checked my oil levels, and it was fine. I was think of the oil sending unit or switch, only i do not know where to locate these or how to uninstall or install one. I also checked my coolant, brake fluid, and power steering fluid. If anyone could help me that would be great. I took a auto machinest class in high school but we were taught to assemble a old chevy engine and i dont remeber a oil sending unit. Please help.

Oil sending unit is right behind the intake manifold, to the left of the distributor.

There is a wire clip attached to it, that needs to be removed then all you do is grab it and twist it off. Mine broke in half when I did this, then I just used a socket on it. The new one goes in the same way.

If I remember right there were two sensors there and it was the closest one to to the dist. I just took off the wire clips and found out witch one fit. If you aint done it in a while, change out the cap and rotor while your back there, it was a hell of a lot easier to get to it when I took it off.
