Default Hi-Flow Cat

Hi im looking to replace my cat with a hi-flow cat from magnaflow. I was looking at there 3inch inlet/outlet stainless steel universal hi-flow cat from jegs. I was wondering if anyone can give me any insight on whether or not this is a good investment for these trucks or if it's even the right one for the application? Here is the one i was looking at from jegs. http://www.jegs.com/i/Magnaflow/642/...oductId=750982

that is the same exact cat that i just put on my truck.
after installing it i realized that i need a glass pack because it does the popping/snapping noise when i am above 2000 rpms. the stock cat is really restrictive compared to that one. and straight pipes don't agree with that cat.

the guy that runs an exhaust shop up the street told me that the 2 in 1 out cats seem to last longer on the rams and that mine won't last as long. if it fails then i'll just get the 2 in 1 out. that guy drives a ram and he was a tech at the dealership for a long time. we were talking about rams and he told me that the only reason he drives one is because he has seen and fixed all the problems that these trucks have.

Bossman I hate to disagree with you here but I have a 2001 1500 and I just "directly" bolted in that exact magnaflow cat in my truck with zero issues 2 in 1 out just like that one.

the 2 in 1 out should work, but i don't know if the upstream o2 sensor will reach the cat.

the type jasonw is referring to is this http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MPE-23500/?rtype=10
that one is almost identical to mine with the o2 bungs in the pipe before and after the cat.

Ohh cause the one he quoted was the magnaflow 2 into 1 and that one fits just fine and the 02's went in fine.

the only difference is that the o2 is in the cat on the 2 in 1 out and your wires may not reach if you have the 1 in 1 out style, but either one will bolt up to the manifolds.
