I don't think you can with the stock deck and why would you want to? Aftermarket decks are so affordable just go pick one up and throw it in.

What is your problem? Do you ever have anything positive to contribute? Can't you resist the urge to spread your negativity all over this forum? I guess you learned nothing from your last timeout.

To the OP, the premium Infinity sound system has a remote amp turn on wire. Not sure if this is present in the standard radio. And aftermarket radios can look good when done right. This is mine:

Please tell me how I am in violation of the rules. Your deck doesn't match at all IMO, but to each his own.

On another note, this is one of the only 1.5 Din decks that I've found that didn't look shiny cheap.

My neighbor had them installed on both of his Chase trucks and the guys love them. He's the one who told me about it in the first place.

You can get a lowpass filter that will splice into your existing wiring. I don't know what they cost now, but I bought one for $25 from Best Buy a few years ago. They did not have it on the floor though, I had to go to the install garage and ask for it.

It is about the size of match box so it tucks nicely behind the stereo.

You can pull an amp from one of those? I was under the impression that they were only for filtering line noise.

It's not a matter of whether you're in violation of the rules, it's the fact that you feel the need to put in your 2 cents where no one asked and almost always in a negative way. No one asked for an opinion of aftermarket decks or for your commentary, but there they are in your post. Many members have complained of your attitude. As soon as you enter a thread it goes downhill and usually shifts away from the original question (much like this one now has). We are getting tired of it. If you can't help then stay silent or find a nicer way to express yourself without being so negative.

Good thing I didn't ask your opinion and really don't care what you think.

to the op, if all you are wanting is a remote line you can splice the amp remote line into any 12v ignition wire and it will come on when to turn the key on. or you can hook it up to a toggle switch with a 12v constant. the only bad thing is the amp wont power off with the radio, however if your radio is off and you amp is on you wont have audio anyway so its not that big a deal. hit me up if you need some help.

Oh oh oh, duh. Remote wire. Totally misinterpreted what you were asking OP. +1 to what Drake said. When my friend and I installed the stereo in his Cobalt, I wired it via fuse piggyback straight to the radio circuit. Key on and off. No parasitic load that way!
