Default #8 cylinder misfire

ok, i just got done doing head gaskets, intake gaskets, seating the valves, egr block off, headers and full exhaust. my #8 cylinder is now misfiring, not sure if it did before or not tho. when i had the head off, there was alot of carbon build up only in that combustion chamber on the head. i just replaced the fuel injector and it has newer spark plugs and wires on. i havent checked spark just yet and havent checked for power and signal on the injector ( i didnt hear the injector ticking so i figured it was bad). what im asking here is, is there any known issues with this? where would you guys go first with this? im not trying to sound stupid here, for i am an experianced mechanic but its mostly with import cars and trucks. im just looking for any second opinions or advice that will hopefully help me.
thanks guys

There was an issue requiring a TSB regarding misfires due to crossed ignition wires on your year 2500 with the V10, but since you haven't filled out your profile info I don't know if it applies to you.

ifyou have the V8 did you do the plenum when doing the intake gaskets? if you just ued a new gasket, its going to blow out again, you need to fix the problem...

do a search for "Plenum" and you'll find everything you need to know. Plenum can foul up plugs....
